Sell a Simple Machine |

Build Your Wild Self! |
Students use Build Your Wild Self website to create an imaginary creature, then research the adaptations that help the animals chosen as part of their “Wild Self” survive. Based on their research, students draw inferences to determine the best ecosystem to support their imaginary creature.

Cooperative Story-Writing |
Students connect with other classrooms through Edmodo to discuss books related to the theme of “Cooperation”. Then, students create “pass along stories” that illustrate a similar theme, with each class writing either the beginning, middle, or end of the story. Completed stories are turned into movies using Windows Movie Maker.

Biography Fair |
After researching a famous individual of interest, students create a project using a technology of their choice, such as Pixton, Zooburt, Prezi, or RecordMP3.org. Projects will address the question: “What “footprint” has this individual left on society?” In creating technology projects, students will use the information they gathered in their research to draw conclusions about the famous individual’s impact on our world, using facts and evidence to support their ideas.
