Ten Things to Know about Me
I am proud to be a Michigan State Spartan! I love all things Michigan State... especially going to football games, eating cheese curds from the Dairy Store, and running along the river. I completed my undergraduate degree at MSU in 2008. Even though I moved all the way to Atlanta after graduating, I decided to complete my Masters degree through an online program at Michigan State because I can't imagine being anything other than a Spartan! |
I am the proud mother of two furry critters - my dog, Eleanor Rigby (Ella, for short), and my cat, Penny Lane. Both animals were rescued. Ella is from the Humane Society, and Penny turned up in a friend's backyard on a rainy evening (And of course we took her home, fleas, ringworm, and all!) Ella and Penny keep me very entertainined with their playful fighting. |
I am an aspiring photographer. During my undergraduate years, I traveled to England and the Czech Republic on a photojournalism study abroad program through Michigan State. Here, I recognized my love for photography. After saving for many years, I finally purchased my own digital SLR camera in 2010 and have been learning more about taking pictures every day since then! |
There is nothing I love more than reading. I am known for getting lost in a book. Once I start reading, it is very difficult for me to put a book down! One of the things I love most about teaching is helping students discover their own love for reading. |
I spent one summer living and teaching in Tanzania and have also traveled to over 15 other countries. My most memorable travel experience was completing a five-day trek through the Andes Mountains that ended with a day exploring Machu Picchu. Someday, I would like to see the Northern Lights in Iceland and snorkle in Australia's Great Barrier Reef. |
